while the rest of us arent able to fix anything, its something to do with the boot process, and re installing doesnt work, so at this point the only thing we can do is either find the .dll that kick starts the program or simply wait for CCP to fix it, being that nothing the rest of us have done works. and thats the hardest part is waiting.... ><

okay see now i cant even get it to reinstall.... is the torrent any different from downloading from the site?

It's an offline installer, so you download the whole 2.4gb to the hdd then it installs from there...
This is the link to that file
that seems to be the one i downloaded though... got anything else maybe? or am i stuck?

is the installer just crapping out, are you getting a bad crc error on the install file?
if its a bad download and you arent getting a good file from the default installer, than yeah, i'd def. try to download the whole file and run it from the hard drive.
well right around the time it gets to
output folder: c whatever
using local file
step 2/3 verifying files
then it extracts a good 1/8th of the files, i get this:
archive extraction failed, canceled
click here to download manually.
which to me is redundant seeing as how this IS the one i downloaded manually :\

well that didnt work. ill try from another site, but none the less id like to say how impressive the player community in this game is, ive gotten more players willing to help me even though none of the solutions have worked yet and i dont provide enough details, they still want to help me out, which is awesome. better than what i can say about CCP, not even so much as a word since the last post...

hey guys i finally got my eve to work, heres what i did:
un installed it, then manually downloaded the file/game/whatever. since it wouldnt extract, i thought id try to put it into a different path. for some odd reason, that worked. dont ask why. i would highly suggest trying this, if not, sorry it doesnt work for ya :C
